Good afternoon Parents,
With one week to go before school resumes and we welcome back your children I urge you to look once again at my previous posts regarding returning to school and the changes that have been implemented for everyone's safety.
The staff at Palfrey are looking forward to being able to do what we do best, to teach your children in their first years of their education. The past 5 months have been challenging and I know you have supported your children as much as you possibly could with our guidance.
I want to reassure you that Mrs Cleaver and myself , along with all the staff team have your child's safety at our heart. The decisions we have made , along with our Governing Body are there to ensure we can return to some 'new normal' to enable the staff to be able to support your children to regain some of the lost learning. We need you to trust in us and to ensure your child attends school regularly so we can maximise their learning. We are returning to school with a focused basic skills curriculum in the first instance and following regular reviews we will broaden this to the full range of subjects. Our first priority is safety for the Palfrey Community as a whole and with this in mind we need everyone to be mindful of the new illness policies ,ensuring testing is completed where required so we can continue to go about our lives in a safe manner.
We look forward to seeing you on your designated return date, reminders will be sent out for Year 1 & 2 pupils next Wednesday. Nursery & Reception parents will receive a reminder of their one to one meeting with the class teacher either on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday next week.
