Online Safety

Thank you to all those who produced a poster for the Online Safety Poster Competition.  You can see all the entries here.  We will sort through all the entries and let you know who has won.

During this difficult time, when we are all having to spend the majority of our time indoors, we can find our children are spending more and more time on electronic devices.  We recommend that the children have no more than 1-2 hours screen time each day.  Where possible try to break up that time with activities off the screen. For ideas of non-screen activities see here.

Parent Helpsheet: keeping your child safe online while they are off school

As we all spend more time on the internet it can be hard to keep up with the latest guidance for parents on how to keep your child safe online. We hold an online safety workshop for parents each year. Look out for the dates of the next workshop on the school calendar

Below are some useful resources for you to take a look at when you discuss online safety with your child.

Take a look at the UK Safer Internet Centre for tips, advice, guides and resources to help keep your child safe online.
Childnet International suggest a range of online safety activities that you can do at home.

Thinkuknow is the education programme from NCA-CEOP, a UK organisation which protects children both online and offline. You will find lots of advice for parents and carers as well as a range of resources to use with your child.  Here are some resources you might find useful:
