Parking and Road Safety
We are a committed member of the A*STARS programme, a series of walking, cycling, scooting and road safety initiatives, and therefore encourage our children to walk to cycle rather than arrive by car. Many of our children live within walking distance and we actively promote this as a safer and healthier lifestyle choice for all.
To support the school and pupils in making healthy lifestyle choices and to promote sustainable and safer travel, all parents are encouraged to:
- Walk to school as often as possible.
- Ensure their child wear brightly coloured and fluorescent clothing to and from school.
- Turn off the car engine to limit emissions and improve air quality near our school.
- Look out for the next Walk to School events on the school calendar.
- Ensure that children are in the correct car seat for their height or weight and wearing a seat belt.
